Prop Policy

Seed of Light Project Costume PolicyProp Policy1. No live steel. This includes real metal swords even if licensed as replicas, knives, real metal chains ( with the exception of smaller jewelry chains), small daggers, pipes, or any weapon forged from metal.2. Props must be of a reasonable weight. Anything heavy enough to severely damage property or people is not safe for such a confined space.3. Props must not be any longer than 7 feet long.
4. If you plan on bringing an oversized prop (e.g. wings, huge sword, coffin that is not holstered backpack style) you MUST come with a handler*.5. No firearms or airsoft weapons can be brought to the event. Replica guns must have a clearly visible orange safety tip and cannot be capable of shooting any sort of ammunition, even toy darts.6. Bow and arrow props can not have a string with elastic properties on it. The string must be loose hanging or completely taught and 100% unable to fire any projectiles.7. There is no storage space in the venue so keep in mind that your prop must always be with you at all times. Seed of Light Project staff and Thymele arts are not responsible for stolen property.8. When the venue was toured, the owners stated that there are very expensive and very antique items within the building. Unfortunately, the area where these items are will receive foot traffic, so just please be mindful of your space and any prop you’re bringing.For any questions and clarification, message Seed of Light Project staff in advance.Costume Policy1. Seed of light is a semi-formal, all-ages event. Please ensure, regardless of gender, that at least ~50% of breasts are covered and 100% of your buttocks are covered. Please take precautions to ensure no major wardrobe malfunctions could happen that would result in indecent exposure. (try cosplay jiggle defender garment tape!)2. Shoes are mandatory. If you anticipate your footwear of choice will be too painful to wear for the full event, please bring a backup pair.3. If you are wearing very tight fitting clothing please take care to ensure the outline of nipples or genitals can't be seen. Use nipple covers, for men please purchase a dance belt for your privates.4. Outfits may not contain any hate symbols or speech.5. Any animated lights that flash in a strobe pattern are not allowed. Use a non epilepsy inducing setting.6. If wearing headgear or cosmetic contacts that greatly limit your vision, please ensure you will be able to maneuver in low lighting and/or crowds without any issues. If you are unable to do so or greatly struggle with it, please come with a handler* to avoid potential injury or unintentional destruction of property.7. If wearing body paint or other sort of heavy makeup please take actions to seal it properly so it does not rub off on anybody or anything.8. Please show up practicing good hygiene by not smelling strongly in any way. Don’t be stinky, but on the flip side, do not wear strong perfume as a courtesy to those who might not appreciate the smell.For any questions and clarification, message Seed of Light Project staff in advance.*A handler is:
- a trusted individual, friend or family member attending the event alongside you
- unencumbered by their own cosplay or outfit
- able-bodied enough to help you maneuver through large crowds and tight spaces.
- ready and willing to help you at all times to avoid any accidents that might occur from bringing an oversized prop into a crowded, enclosed space.If your prop is:
- 2 or more feet wider than your body width
- Taller than 5 feet
- Generally cumbersome
- Has a history of accidentally brushing up on people and objects at previous events
- Bigger than a childThen you MUST have a handler!Not sure if your prop applies?

Guest entertainers are our panel hosts and performers here to entertain you! They are all Project Moon-themed presentations, so stay tuned!

Streamed panels are guests that cannot arrive in-person but will be hosting their own entertainment at the event!

We will have live performances with cosplayers singing these three Mili songs! It will be a custom jazzy rearrangement to fit the theme of the event.
